Fans who gathered at outside Prince's Paisley Park home and recording studio Thursday to mourn the musical legend's passing got a brief glimpse of a rainbow stretching across the sky.
The rainbow "stretched perfectly across the sky" before vanishing a few minutes later, KARE reported.
Authorities closed a stretch of road outside Paisley Park in Chanhassen, Minnesota, as mourners descended on the area with purple flowers to honor Prince's memory, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
“He was a magical being, and watching him grow up and evolve brought a little magic to us,” Kari Swalinkavich told the newspaper. She joined others outside Paisley Park to pay her respects.
"He was a magical little package," she said. "We just weren't ready to be done with that."
