An early Christmas at the Hollywood premiere of 'Fred Claus'

The LA premiere of the holiday-themed movie starring Vince Vaughn and Paul Giamatti.

Tinseltown was the perfect location for the premiere of the Christmas-themed flick "Fred Claus." The movie's star, Vince Vaughn, signs autographs for the crowd before the screening.

Vaughn plays the title character, the underachieving older brother of Santa Claus. Fred's a repo man in need of some fast cash -- and he hopes he can find it through his North Pole connections.

Paul Giamatti plays the "saintly" Nicholas, Fred's perfect brother.

Rachel Weisz plays Wanda in the film. Also look for appearances by Kevin Spacey, Stephen Baldwin, Frank Stallone, and Presidential brother and sometimes-actor Roger Clinton.

Chris "Ludacris" Bridges plays DJ Donnie. Here, he arrives with daughter Karma.

Weisz, Giamatti and Bridges pause for a photo as snowflakes fall. The film opens in wide release Friday.

Elizabeth Banks ("Scrubs," "Spider-Man" movies) plays Charlene, a North Pole employee.

Vaughn and his pal, actor/director Jon Favreau, meet up on the red carpet. They appeared onscreen together in 1996's "Swingers."

Paul Giamatti signs a copy of one of his best-known movies, "Sideways."
