For the Duggars, it seems, when it rains, it pours.
Last week, an image of Josh and Anna Duggar's 4-year-old son, Michael, surfaced, and "19 Kids and Counting" fans are worried that the family seriously put him in danger. Jinger Duggar, 22, reportedly snapped the photo of Michael sleeping in the back seat of a car. At first, it looks like an innocent picture of a child sleeping, but fans and haters of the Duggars immediately realized that he was not properly restrained in the vehicle.
“My first thought as a pediatric ICU nurse was ‘that kid is not properly restrained.’ I am not passing judgment. I have just seen a lot of really bad things. And I don’t want anything to happen to anybody else’s child. He should be in a 5-point harness to protect his spine and his brain and his internal organs. Please take this as advice and not judgment. I love this family and just don’t want anything bad to happen to these precious kids,” one concerned fan wrote on the family’s Facebook page.
Jinger Duggar’s apparent lapse in judgment may have been illegal, as well. In Arkansas, where the family lives, the law requires that children younger than 6 and weighing less than 60 pounds must be in an approved car seat or restraint.
At this time, no legal action has been taken.
