Intermezzo moves

Amura Buckhead

Amura Sushi & Steak Buckhead has been opening softly in the sprawling Terminus space once occupied by MF Sushi, and it will begin taking reservations on Open Table on April 1. Mother on Edgewood

Mother, a new bar/restaurant in the Sweet Auburn District, is set for a soft opening this week. The joint effort between Beep Beep Gallery in Atlanta and the Woods bar in Brooklyn is situated in a three-story 3,600-square-foot historic brownstone near the corner of Edgewood and Boulevard, across from Church and Cafe Circa. 447 Edgewood Ave.

Baconfest

Baconfest, the outdoor festival in honor of the three B’s — beer, bands and bacon — also serves as an important annual fundraiser for Dad’s Garage. Things get wild and piggy at 1 p.m. Saturday, with carnival games, the crowning of the bacon king and queen, and a bacon-flavored silent auction. Slider switch

The Shed at Glenwood is eighty-sixing its Wednesday slider night and replacing it with a weekly fried chicken night. But Bantam + Biddy is stepping in with a Monday slider night, starting April 1. ‘Pop Up Chef’

Back for a third season, the “Pop Up Chef” program on the Plaza at 999 Peachtree will be offering more lunch bites ($3-$12) beginning April 4. On April 7, Vino Venue in Dunwoody will present the 2013 Georgia Wine Celebration.
