This Korean-based "mega" department and international grocery store opened in Duluth in a former Macy’s attached to Gwinnett Place Mall. Basic Asian, European and Latin grocery staples can be found here, but the main fare supports the thriving Korean and American demographic in Gwinnett. The back of the first floor boasts a diverse food court where grub is purchased to go and can be eaten at nearby counters. This East Atlanta Village Vietnamese restaurant now offers a challenge to anyone who dares, or who is at least very hungry. Brazenly titled the "Pho King Challenge," it comprises 27 ounces of meat, three large noodle servings and a voluminous amount of soup broth to boot. High Road Craft Ice Creams and Sorbets

Opening this week, this newcomer develops custom ice creams and sorbets for area restaurants and hotels using many local and organic ingredients. High Road already has contracted with several restaurants including Wildfire Restaurant and South City Kitchen. The flavor created for South City Kitchen: Peachtree Road -- a play on Rocky Road with sorghum soaked stewed peaches, salted peanuts, marshmallows and pecans.
