Any patch of land can become a farm, as Atlanta's many urban farmers prove.Freewheel Farm grows crops on three city lots and brings their produce to the Grant Park Farmers Market, less than a mile from two of the three farm properties. Each week, those who’ve purchased a share of Freewheel Farm’s community-supported agriculture program receive an assortment of whatever is ready for harvest. For the week pictured here, Freewheel’s customers received cherry and beefsteak-type tomatoes, peppers, heirloom cucumber varieties, arugula, kale, collards, beets and turnips along with a dozen eggs and a bouquet of flowers. / Photo credit: Freewheel Farm
