Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers now has a second home in Gwinnett.

The brand new store at 1770 Scenic Highway in Snellville held ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday morning. The Kansas-based chain has more than 200 locations nationwide and offers "lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is freshly churned throughout each day," officials said in a news release.

The Snellville location seats 100 guests and includes a patio and drive-thru. Its opening came about four months after Freddy's first Gwinnett location began welcoming diners in Duluth.

The Snellville Freddy's is also part of a bigger development called Park Place. The project is also slated to include a dental office, a Zaxby's (which is expected to open in August) and a Cracker Barrel. Further down Scenic Highway, a Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q is also expected to open soon.
