Nearly five thousand people voted for their favorite burger in Atlanta, and a resounding 20% tipped their hats to BOCADO's version as their Best of Atlanta favorite. What makes it so special? The BOCADO burger stack boasts two juicy patties of beef, melty American cheese and house-made pickles all atop a sesame seed bun. It's a magical combination that's been pulling at the heart strings of Atlantan carnivores for years. Paired with a side of their herb fries, you might find youself planning your next meal there before the one in front of you is finished.

For this category we are pleased to offer you a solid runner-up at 17% of votes - Common Quarter's "Look West" burger. Located in Cobb County, Common Quarter's grassfed beef burger is smothered in American cheese, griddled onions and their famous secret sauce. Enjoy it with a side of garlic and parmesan fries or their creamy mac and cheese.

These aren't the only two burgers that have left their mark on our foodie city. All of the honorable mentions below offer a burger so good that you'll be back for more time and time again.

Holeman and Finch Public House (Intown)

This double stack is large and in-charge. Totaling up to 8 ounces of pure meat alone, this burger's bite will satiate the deepest hunger. The Holeman and Finch Public House burger is topped with American cheese, red onion, house-made pickels plus homemade ketchup and mustard.

The Pinewood (Decatur)

You'll want to pair your juicy burger at The Pinewood with one of their equally famous cocktails. Their fully dressed, double Angus stack is topped with a house-made remoulade and bacon.

H. Harper Station (Intown)

This restaurant's closing is a tragedy for cocktail afficionados and foodies. The Beltline Burger from H. Harper Station had American cheese, house b&b pickles, griddled onions and crispy bibb lettuce. It was even better with Benton's bacon and a White Oak Pastures fried egg to complete the experience. This burger was served with a side of their crunchy garlic-herbed tater tots.

Local Republic (Gwinnett)

This joint serves up multiple burgers for the more adventurous spirit. If you're up for a surprise, ask for The Sink burger which comes with a sunny side egg on top and whatever the kitchen wants to throw on top. Love spice? Try the Patrick Swayze burger topped with ghost pepper salsa.

General Muir (DeKalb)

Dive into this delectable double stack with shaved onion, pickles, lettuce, Russian dressing and American cheese.
