Profile: Is it crazy that since opening in 1996 Victory has never brewed and bottled a year-round pale ale? Or is it more crazy that Victory partners-brewmasters Bill Covaleski and Ron Barchet finally decided to do that in honor of their brewery's 15th anniversary?
Either way, Headwaters Pale Ale is a solid addition to a portfolio that includes such stellar offerings as Prima Pils, Hop Devil IPA and Storm King Imperial Stout. Brewed with German malts and a melange of whole flower hops, including Citra and Centennial, it’s crisp, aromatic and exceedingly easy to drink, with all the subtle elegance and balanced complexity you’d expect from Victory.
