For the 25th consecutive year, the city of Decatur hosted the Decatur Beach Party on East Ponce de Leon Avenue. The city closed off several blocks, hauled in 60 tons of sand and invited vendors to sell food and operate moonwalks and other kid-friendly attractions.

The city of Decatur closed off several blocks near East Court Square for its 25th annual Decatur Beach Party on Friday, June 18, 2010. From 5 p.m. until midnight, families could enjoy a street beach, festival food, live music and other outdoor attractions.
