Dagmar Midcap comes into your living room

Every since she became WGCL-TV's prime weather forecaster in January, Dagmar Midcap has been catching people's attention.

Midcap has her own promotional billboards on I-75 and I-85, an honor usually reserved for anchors. "Why hide her?" says former news director Rick Erbach. "She's a star!"

Weather producer Jason Disharoon helps Dagmar Midcap prepare for the broadcast. If you wonder about her appeal, fan Mike Beavers sums it up best: "She comes across as the perfect woman -- a perfect 10 who can hang with the guys."

Midcap's fans have posted videos of her weather reports on YouTube and have blogged incesssantly about the Vancouver native.

Dagmar Midcap, who isn't a meteorologist, stands against the green screen as she delivers the weather report during the "CBS 46 News at 4" broadcast. She started her TV career in Cleveland as host of a popular weekly current affairs show.
