There are reports out of the United Kingdom that Christopher Lee has died at the age of 93.
Maybe best known for his portrayal of Dracula, the British actor was hospitalized for respiratory problems and heart failure.
The news came after his death after his wife of more than 50 years, wanted to inform family members first, The Guardian reported.
In addition to his film career, he also released heavy metal albums.
He was knighted in 2009.
The Telegraph reported that Lee's career started in the 1940s, but his big break came in the 1958 film "Dracula Has Risen From The Grave."
He played the vampire opposite Peter Cushing as Van Helsing.

In 2001, he played the role of Saruman in "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring."
In 2002, Lee played Count Dooku in the second Star Wars prequel, "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones."
He also appeared in a handful of Tim Burton films, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," "Corpse Bride" and "Dark Shadows"
