Looking for Tom Cruise? Stick close to Kyma.

The actor is in town working on a new movie, “Mena,” and stopped by the popular Buckhead restaurant Wednesday night. We’re told he enjoyed a dinner with business associates featuring grilled octopus and was delightfully gracious to everyone on the staff. He even stopped to thank the employee who bused his table.

“I’ll be back,” Cruise promised as he departed, but not before posing for a nice photo with a fellow restaurant patron, Lindsey Keadle.

"Mena" films for the next couple of months both in town and north of Atlanta, in the Cherokee County town of Ball Ground. If you missed the bulletin about Saturday's open casting call for extras, you can check it out online at buzz.blog.ajc.com/2015/05/04/tom-cruise-movie-to-hold-open-casting-call-in-metro-atlanta.

In other star-spotting news, Steve Martin popped by Veni Vidi Vici in Midtown on Wednesday night. He's here for "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk," which has been filming at the Georgia Dome for several weeks now. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Ang Lee, it's based on the novel by Ben Fountain, about U.S. soldiers sent on a tour to rally support for the war in Iraq. The cast also includes Vin Diesel, Kristen Stewart, Garrett Hedlund, Chris Tucker and Ric Reitz.

Finally, Gilles Marini, who plays Sebastien on the locally produced Lifetime show "Devious Maids," dusted himself off for a night at Turner Field this week.

Celebs love hanging at the Ted. Melissa McCarthy and her husband, Ben Falcone, who have been in town lately working on "Michelle Darnell," were spotted in the stands when they were here on a previous trip. Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds cheered on the Braves when they were here filming "The Change-Up."

And it's not uncommon to spot former President and Mrs. Carter sitting near Ted Turner, the guy the Braves stadium is named after. The current stadium, anyway.
