7/21 Peach Buzz: The softer side of Nancy Grace

Nancy Grace called the other day as she was wheeling into Jay Leno's parking lot. Gone was the aggressive bark that characterized her coverage of the Casey Anthony trial. "We're all just exhausted," said Grace, who, believe it or not, is soft-spoken in person. While encamped in Orlando for the blockbuster trial, she said, she and her husband David Linch found time for some family fun. "When I wasn't on air we spent time at Disney, Sea World," said Grace, the mother of 3-year-old twins. "After the verdict I got in bed with John David and Lucy and just held them and thought about Caylee, God rest her soul." Our entire interview with Grace is online at blogs.ajc.com/the-buzz.

Movie updates

"What to Expect When You're Expecting," which will star Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez, has begun filming. On Tuesday the project cranked up in Midtown for a scene that featured one of Atlanta's favorite new crazes, the food truck. Afterward cast members Anna Kendrick and Chace Crawford each posed for photos with Chef Andy Long of The Fry Guy. We hear the newly single J-Lo will arrive via private plane. Maybe she'll find true love in the ATL now that she and Marc Anthony are done.

Did Fairburn resemble a classic car show on Wednesday? If so we can explain. “Jayne Mansfield’s Car” was filming, and the scene called for a bunch of vintage autos.

Finally, Atlanta bids a fond farewell to the cast of "The Three Stooges." That project, which has been filming all over the place, held its wrap party Saturday night at Opera nightclub and completed a final day of filming Wednesday on Beverly Drive in Midtown. As we told you, the "Jersey Shore" cast was in town this week to shoot a cameo for the Stooges film. (Is that Oscar buzz we're hearing?) The movie's publicity guy – who was not our source for the original tip – emailed yesterday congratulating us for posting the "Jersey Shore" news before the gossip website TMZ caught wind of it. We can retire now. What else is there to prove?
