“Sing Along With Santa” at Aurora Theatre
Vocalist Wendy Bennett and her big, green puppet celebrate Christmas with this children’s show. Bennett decorates her holiday song list with a bevy of kid-friendly favorites including “Jolly Old Saint Nicholas,” “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” “Jingle Bells” and more. Interaction and singing along are encouraged. Bennett also spins stories including “The Shoemaker and the Elves.” Expect guitar strumming and plenty of jingle bell-ringing.

Braids and Bows at American Girl Boutique and Bistro
Girls, with their American Girl dolls in tow, can learn the basics of braiding at the Braids and Bows event. Step into the craft room and listen as the stylists pass on tips and tricks and share different ways to doll up a doll’s ’do. Each participant takes home a special goody bag. Organizers design this event for girls ages 8 and older.

Family Movie Night at Best Friend Park
Best Friend Park’s gymnasium becomes a virtual movie theater for Family Movie Night. Guests are invited to bring their blankets and lawn chairs, and spread out across the gym floor. The event staff projects last summer’s kiddie blockbuster “The Smurfs” on a jumbo screen. Those hankering for concessions can purchase hot dogs, pizza and other treats. Outside food, however, is not allowed. Make sure to bring cash for the snack bar as it doesn't accept credit cards.
