ROSWELL

Rock 'N Rumble Night at Killer Creek Harley-Davidson

Things go full throttle at this special event featuring beer, bikes and rock 'n' roll. Jasmine Cain, a bass-thumping rock vocalist who's popular on the motorcycle event scene, revs up for a concert. Body paint artist Lynn Cole will be decorating those looking for a fresh paint job, including folks not adverse to showing a bit of skin. An in-store silent auction takes place and motorcycle lifestyle-related vendors will be on site. Organizers recommend leaving the young ones at home for this one.

MARIETTA

Silent Comedy Shorts at The Earl Smith Strand Theatre

Film buffs get the rare opportunity to go back in time to the golden age of screen comedy. A total of four 25-minute silent film comedy shorts will be shown on the Strand's big screen. It's an all-star lineup featuring the heavyweights of the era: Charlie Chaplin in "A Night at the Show," Harold Lloyd in "Bumping Into Broadway," The Little Rascals in "Dog Heaven," and Laurel and Hardy in "Big Business." The films will have live organ accompaniment starring the Strand's Mighty Allen Theatre Organ. Don't miss the organ pops pre-show and sing-a-long at 2:30 p.m. just before all of that black and white buffoonery.
