The first contestant of the new season of Dancing with the Stars has been announced and it is none other than Bindi Irwin.
The 17-year-old daughter of the late Steve Irwin appeared on "Good Morning America" Monday to break the big news.
She also went to Twitter to retweet the announcement.
No word on who she will be dancing with, but Derek Hough, Mark Ballas and Val Chmerkovskiy are all coming back, US Magazine reported.
The season kicks off Monday, Sept. 14 on ABC.
The rest of the celebrity dancers will be announced on "Good Morning America" throughout the next two weeks.
Irwin was only 8 years old when her father, Steve, was killed after being attacked by a stingray off the coast of Australia, "GMA" reported.
She lives with her mother Teri and her brother Robert.
She has appeared on various television shows and movies and has focused on wildlife and conservation efforts, "GMA" reported.
