Comedian Charlie Murphy was a regular Twitter user, sending out tweets every morning and evening, but it's his final, emotional tweet that touched followers so much.

Murphy, the older brother of comedian Eddie Murphy, lost his battle with leukemia on Wednesday. He was just 57.

He might have been referring to his, at times, rocky life, in his final tweet, which said: “Release the past to rest as deeply as possible.”

Murphy, who was often in the shadow of his younger brother Eddie Murphy, had a difficult time when he was young, even doing a jail stint before he joined the U.S. Navy. When he started working in Hollywood, it took him years to break out on his own.

He had just finished the annual "Comedy Get Down" tour with Cedric the Entertainer, George Lopez, D.L. Hughley and Eddie Griffin and was scheduled to appear on the TV series "Power" later this year, according to People.com.
