Former Miss California Carrie Prejean filed a lawsuit Monday in Los Angeles Superior court against Miss California USA officials, including former co-executive director Shanna Moakler, accusing them of religious discrimination among other things.

In the complaint, Prejean -- who was dethroned as Miss California USA on June 10 -- is accusing pageant officials of religious discrimination, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress, and defamation.

The beauty queen was stripped of her title two months after speaking out about her feelings against same sex marriage at the Miss USA competition on April 19. She was the first runner-up in that pageant.
