Jordan Lloyd prevailed on the season finale of the hit CBS reality series "Big Brother." Read on for the details!

Jordan won the competition and the $500,000 grand prize after the show's seven-member jury, including viewer votes, awarded her more nods than challenger Natalie Martinez. Jordan opted to vie against Natalie for votes upon beating Kevin Campbell in the last phase of a three-stage Head of Household contest.

When asked what she'll likely do with her half-a-million in winnings, Jordan said, "Put a down payment on a house for me, my mom and my brother." Natalie went home with a $50,000 runner-up prize.

Six soldiers were honored, each receiving Meritorious Service Medals, Thursday for heroic actions responding to the shooting at Fort Stewart. “One of the things I can say unequivocally is that the fast action of these soldiers — under stress and under trauma and under fire — absolutely saved lives from being lost,” U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll told reporters as the six soldiers stood near him Thursday. “They are everything that is good about this nation.” (Hyosub Shin/AJC)
