A three-day weekend is upon us, y’all!

Make the most of the holiday weekend by getting out with family and friends, and exploring the best of metro Atlanta. From a music festival at the Masquerade, to the highly-anticipated fireworks show at Lenox Square, there shouldn’t be a dull moment over the next few days.

Here are our five top picks for things to do this weekend in Atlanta:

Fourth of July events

Whether you’re looking to see an amazing fireworks show or participate in a local parade, there are plenty of options for things to do in metro Atlanta this Fourth of July. Head to Lenox Square and watch their highly-anticipated 15-minute fireworks show or head to the Marietta Square for a parade, fireworks, kid-friendly arts and crafts, and more.

Gatheround: Stories of Atlanta

Admission to the Atlanta History Center will be free on Saturday, July 2 in celebration of the new exhibit “Gatheround: Stories of Atlanta.” Attendees will have access to the 33-acre campus, including all exhibits and historic homes.

“Gatheround: Stories of Atlanta” is an exhibit that features live theater performances and interactive activities in an effort to teach participants about the history of the city.

Explore Atlanta on MARTA

Tired of Atlanta traffic? Explore the city on public transportation this weekend by visiting places such as Six Flags over Georgia or the College Football Hall of Fame. Without the extra headache that comes with driving, you’re sure to make the most out of your weekend.

Raurfest

Atlanta artist Raury started hosting a small music festival each year when he turned 18 years old, just months before opening for Outkast during one of their homecoming shows in Centennial Olympic Park in 2014. The 20-year-old has enlisted Joe Bada$$, Lion Babe and a few other artists for this year’s event.

Free tickets are no longer available, but $50 “fast passes” are still up for sale. These tickets also come with a meet and greet with Raury. All proceeds will go to the Atlanta Public Schools’ fine arts department.

Dru Hill, En Vogue, Tony Toni Toné and Troop

Kick off the top of the month by heading to Southwest Atlanta and enjoying a R&B show at Wolf Creek Amphitheater. One of several concerts that will take place at the venue within the next few months, "The Affordable Old School Concert Series" will allow attendees to revisit the hits of Dru Hill, En Vogue, Tony Toni Toné and Troop for less than $100.
