If you had been meaning to check out the monumental Henry Moore sculptures at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, we’ve got good news for you. “Moore in America,” which was to have closed Saturday, instead will remain on view through December.

The two-month extension also constitutes good news for the Botanical Garden, where attendance is up 11 percent, to 145,000, over the same May-October period last year, when it hosted “Sculpture in Motion.” And memberships have climbed 19 percent, to 16,120, since the debut of “Moore,” the largest outdoor exhibit of the late British artist’s work.

The show of 20 sculptures, mainly bronzes, was to have returned to England, but the Henry Moore Foundation changed plans and will continue the U.S. visit. It will now open at the Denver Botanic Gardens in March.

The Moores are sure to be an additional draw for upcoming Holidays in the Garden programming at the Piedmont Avenue attraction, including Moonlight & Merriment on Dec. 10 and the More the Merrier on Dec. 26-30 (closing time will extend to 10 p.m. for both).
