Puppet sex. Polka-dot doggies. And a famous milkman named Tevye.

Patrons of the Atlanta Broadway Series at Cobb Energy Centre can encounter all of the above during the 2009-2010 season announced Wednesday.

"Avenue Q," the delightful musical about love and angst among a group of post-collegiate puppets, will play the Cobb venue for the first time, joining a lineup that also includes the new musical "101 Dalmations," Alfred Hitchcock's "The 39 Steps" and the classic "Fiddler on the Roof."

Chaim Topol, who played Tevye in the 1971 film treatment of "Fiddler," is giving his farewell performance in the national tour. "39 Steps," a farcical homage to Hitchcock's 1935 thriller, features four actors playing 150 roles — plus special effects.

The Atlanta Broadway Series just concluded its first season at the Cobb venue with "Spamalot."

Subscriptions for the new program are on sale now ($89-$345). Buy before April 24 and get a $10 discount per package. Single tickets are typically available six to eight weeks before each show.

The dates: "101 Dalmations," Oct. 27-Nov. 1; "39 Steps," Dec. 1-6; "Fiddler on the Roof," March 16-21; and "Avenue Q," May 18-23. Subscribers can also get a priority seating for the "Radio City Christmas Spectacular" at the Fox Theatre (Nov. 19-22).
