Bristol Palin posted on her blog Saturday morning that she is now engaged to Medal of Honor recipient, Dakota Meyer.
In her post she discussed how Meyer visited Alaska with her mother, Sarah Palin last year. He apparently asked Bristol to marry him at a Rascal Flatts concert Friday night in Las Vegas, Nevada:
"He's so romantic! He asked me to marry him at a Rascal Flatts concert. The lead singer, Gary LeVox, dedicated 'Bless the Broken Road' to us, and then Dakota got down on one knee and proposed!"
The announcement was also spotted on Meyer's Instagram account early Saturday morning.
"I'm definitely the luckiest guy ever to be able to spend the rest of my life with @bsmp2 #shesaidyes"
Meyer served in the United States Marine Corps and received the Medal of Honor for actions during the Battle of GanjGal. He is the second youngest living Medal of Honor recipient.
Bristol Palin is the oldest daughter of former Alaska Governor and Republican nominee for Vice President, Sarah Palin. Bristol has one son, Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston, born in 2008.
A picture of the engagement ring was also posted on the blog
Mother Sarah Palin also posted the happy family news on her official Facebook page.
