In the post, Bristol Palin said she's trying hard to keep her chin up. She said, "When life gets tough, there is no other option but to get tougher."

She goes on to say that she knows a lot of people, including her family, will be disappointed to hear the news of her pregnancy, but she is asking for privacy to handle this family matter.

Bristol Palin, the daughter of former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, was set to be married to a Marine over Memorial Day weekend, but the wedding was called off.
