A pair of stars made a visit to Georgia on Thursday. Actor Brad Pitt and "Dancing With the Stars" host Brooke Burke were in town.

Pitt  made a surprise appearance at an early fan screening of "World War Z" at Regal Atlantic Station. Pitt stars and served as producer of the apocalyptic thriller.  Pitt welcomed the audience, applauded the Atlanta Braves and thanked the fans for their support. Pitt handed out shirts to lucky audience members before the screening.

Burke  teamed up with Purina Cat Chow to help kick-off renovations of the cat-care facilities at Fulton County Animal Services. The renovations at FCAS will transform the current cat adoption room and adoption counseling offices to create a free-roaming cat area with a picture window that allows visitors to view the cats upon entering the building's main lobby. It will feature custom cat play structures, lounge spaces and seating for potential adopters to visit with the cats. There will also be caging to isolate cats if needed. Purina Cat Chow is donating $30,000 to improve FCAS's Cat Adoption Room, adoption counseling room, lobby and customer service areas.

Burke spent some time playing with the kittens before grabbing a paintbrush and getting to work.
