Visual arts: See works by Mexican painter Frida Kahlo and husband  and muralist Diego Rivera in "Frida & Diego: Passion, Politics and Painting," which continues through May 12 at High Museum of Art. Flowers, family fun: Spring is in the air at the Atlanta Botanical Garden as "Atlanta Blooms" continues through April 30.

Music, stage: The Atlanta Opera presents Verdi's "La Traviata" at 8 p.m. March 8 and 3 p.m. March 10 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

Stage: "Two Trains Running," August Wilson's inspiring story about a protest that changed a nation, is the latest production from True Colors Theatre Company. It's at the Southwest Arts Center through March 10. See our preview of the show.

Stage: Horizon Theatre Company presents an encore run of its successful 2011 show "The Waffle Palace: Smothered, Covered & Scattered 24/7/365." It runs through March 17.

Stage: "Fly" follows the African-American Army Air Corps fighters who flew during World War II. The play is presented by Theatrical Outfit at the Balzer Theater at Herren's and runs through March 10.

Stage: The Fern Theatre presents "The Baltimore Waltz," Paula Vogel's tale of the love and adventures of a brother and sister, written in response to Vogel's brother's death. It runs March 1-16 at 7 Stages Backstage Theatre.

Music: New Jersey rockers The Gaslight Anthem bring their Bruce Springsteen-inspried tunes to The Masquerade March 7.

Festival, family fun: With more than 8,000 attendees last year, MomoCon is one of the fastest-growing conventions for lovers of anime, animnation and video games. It runs March 8-10 at the Hilton Atlanta.

Music: Enjoy music steeped in traditional country, blues, and folk with the Cowboy Junkies at Variety Playhouse March 8.

Comedy: Jerry Seinfeld brings his trademark humor to the Fox Theatre March 8.

Visual arts: Contemporary abstract art comes to life in the exhibit Sammy Peters: Recent Paintings at Alan Avery Art Company beginnig March 8 through April 20.

Festival, music:
Drink, eat, dance and rock out to local bands all for a good cause -- finding a cause for cystic fibrosis -- at ShamRockin' for a Cure at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park March 9.

Music: Take a trip back to the mid-'60s with The Zombies' psychadelic rock at the Variety Palyhouse March 9.

Stage: A theatrical monologue by Amparo Grisales that depicts 22 years of marital 'bliss' with satire and humor, "No Sere Feliz Pero Tengo Marido" plays at Center Stage March 9.

Music: Atlanta Symphony Orchestra concertmaster David Coucheron Mendelssohn at Atlanta Symphony Hall at 8 p.m. March 9 and 3 p.m. March 10.
