Georgia Aquarium to offer yoga classes

The Georgia Aquarium, which has been getting creative in its efforts to attract visitors, will now offer yoga classes, teaming up with Be Well Atlanta. Here, instructor and Be Well CEO Kimberly Hard relaxes in a position.

On Monday, Georgia Aquarium volunteers and others went through a 90-minute yoga class. Bob Altman lets the stress go during the relaxation portion.

Instructor Karen Dorfman leads the class. The fees will be $20 per session for aquarium members and $35 for nonmembers. Children's classes are $25 per session. Mats can be rented for $3.

Kristen Hard goes through a sequence at the beginning of the session. The classes will be held throughout the building, including in front of Ocean Voyager, the home of the aquarium's whale sharks, grouper and stingrays.

Tonya Shearer moves through a yoga sequence. Classes for the general public begin Sunday.
