There are some great things happening around metro Atlanta in October, especially if you're a big fan of macaroni and cheese or Halloween.

From festivals to sporting events, here are 10 things to do:

Many Rivers to Cross

Festival organizers have added $40 dollar two-day passes for fans who are hoping to get equal doses of music (T.I., Macklemore, Aloe Blacc, Public Enemy and more), speeches on social justice (Jesse Williams and Danny Glover and more).

Sankofa.org, a Harry Belafonte-founded social justice organization, is producing the event.

Final Game at Turner Field

Atlanta Braves fans will have one last opportunity to see the team play at Turner Field before they head to SunTrust Park next season. At this point, "standing-room only" tickets are the only tickets still available for the Oct. 2 game against the Detroit Tigers. Tickets are $20 and don't include an assigned seat. Instead, fans will be placed in a designated standing area.

Rae Sremmurd knows how to start a party and that’s exactly what they’re scheduled to do at The Tabernacle on Oct. 2. The Mississippi duo will be joined by rapper Lil Yachty, but the highlight of the show will definitely be if Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane makes a surprise appearance to perform “Black Beatles,” his new collaboration with the brothers.

Out on Film

Atlanta’s oldest LGBT film festival will once again offer eight days of screenings. About 100 feature films, documentaries and short films will play at the Landmark Midtown Art Cinema Sept. 29-Oct. 6. Festival passs are $160. You can also see three films for $30 or pay $11 for individual screenings. Tickets will go on sale Sept. 1.

Atlanta Pride

The 46th annual Atlanta Pride festival will celebrate gender and sexual identity diversity with the help of more than 250 exhibitors, nonprofit organizations and artists in Piedmont Park.

Musicians will provide live entertainment throughout the two-day festival. In addition to traditional activities, such as the annual parade that will take place at noon Oct. 9, the festival will feature an expanded college and career fair this year. The Starlight Cabaret Show, featuring national and international drag performers, once again will close out the festival.

The Youth Liberation Space and Grey Pride will feature programming geared toward younger and older members of the LGBT community. Additionally, an exhibit created through a partnership with the Center for Civil and Human Rights museum will showcase a timeline of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history, both locally and internationally.

Macaroni & Cheese Festival

When we posted news of an Atlanta Mac and Cheese festival, readers went crazy! The event is just a few weeks away!

For $20, attendees can sample food from five of the vendors that will set up shop at Walker Park on Oct. 8. Mac the Cheese, Nana G's and Dish Dive are just a few of the participating vendors.

ATL Horror Film Festival

The 10th annual Atlanta Horror Film Festival will take place at the Plaza Theatre and Mammal Gallery. The four-day festival will showcase shorts and feature films from new and established filmmakers.

Little Five Points Halloween Festival and Parade

This 16th annual event will give attendees a chance to celebrate the spooky holiday a couple of weeks early. Enjoy live entertainment on two stages, shop at Little Five Points retailers and admire the best and wackiest costumes.

The daylong festival includes a two-hour parade that kicks off at 4 p.m. at Euclid and Austin avenues near Horizon Theatre. The parade will feature a marching band, zombies and more.

Taste of Atlanta

More than 90 local restaurants, including Bartaco and Buttermilk Kitchen, will prepare bites at Taste of Atlanta for attendees to enjoy. Watch as local grill masters prepare food on a Big Green Egg, attend workshops and a Chef’s Table during this two-day festival Oct. 22-23.

One-day general admission tickets are $25 and two-day general admission tickets are $40 if purchased before Oct. 7.

Duo Florida Georgia Line will be joined by Cole Swindell, The Cadillac Three and Kane Brown for a night of country music under the stars at Lakewood Amphitheatre on Oct. 22.
