Who will be cheering on the Atlanta Falcons from the sidelines this coming season? That was determined Wednesday night as the 2013 Atlanta Falcons cheerleaders were picked.

It's never to early to talk about football season!

Who will cheer on the Atlanta Falcons from the sidelines next season?

These 36 women will after being named the 2013 Atlanta Falcons cheerleaders.

The Atlanta Falcons hosted the finals of the cheerleader auditions Wednesday night.

About 300 women began the process on Sunday. The finals included about 60 women. About half of those made the team.

The Terminal West at King Plow Arts Center hosted the finals.

The audition process included performing a specific routine for a panel of judges as well as an interview.

And while those selected for the team will cheer on the Falcons from the sidelines, that's only about 10% of the job of a cheerleader.

Most of their time is spent in the community at various events.

And being a cheerleader isn't their full-time job. One of the requirements to be a Falcons cheerleader is to be a student or to have a full or part-time job.

Last season, there was a prosecutor, government spokesperson and investment banker on the team.

The women were judged on appearance, showmanship, dance ability, cheer ability and fit shape.
