Ten performers Saturday in Berlin, vy to represent Germany in the Air Guitar Championships next month in Finland.

Mathias Mertens, aka "Eric Nu Matic," was among 10 performers Saturday in Berlin, vying to represent Germany in the Air Guitar Championships next month in Finland.

Stefan Voltz, aka "Mr. 10,000 Voltz," performs in the ninth edition of Germany's Air Guitar Championships. The competition consists of two rounds, the freestyle and a compulsory exercise. Voltz finished third.

Rick Ellis, aka "Master of Disaster," finished sixth in the competition.

Steffen Fehling, aka "Effe die Schlange" (German for Effe the snake), finished in the Top 5.

Manfred Wilhelm, aka "Hippi Joe," failed to impress the judges. He finished ninth.

Marie von Borstel, aka "Moldy Peach," was one of two female contestants. She finished second.

And the winner was Christian Sweep, aka "heart buckboard." Sweep won the competition for the fifth time scoring the most points (34.8). He qualified for the World Championships, which will be held Aug. 24, in Finland.
