Lady Gaga and Justin Beiber were among the big stars feted at the 2011 Bambi Awards in Germany.

Decked out in a fantastical concoction from Alexander McQueen's 2012 collection, Lady Gaga accepted her 2011 Bambi Award, which has recognized figures from Hollywood, literature, sports and politics for their media contributions since 1948.

Lady Gaga performed sitting in the driver's seat of a piano designed inside a convertible.

Lady Gaga performed her latest single, "Marry the Night," wearing a billowing black gown and modest black cap atop the hood of a car.

Lady Gaga previewed the latest single from her album "Born this Way."

Lady Gaga was named Best International Pop Artist and received the award from fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.

Lady Gaga also won the Most Coveted Media Prize.

Pop star Justin Beiber performed "Mistletoe" from his chart-topping Christmas album "Under the Mistletoe."

The singer also picked up the Entertainment Bambi Award, presented by "Glee" regular and sometimes-singer Gwyneth Paltrow.

Presenter Gwyneth Paltrow wore a super sparkly green gown with a plunging neckline from Elie Saab's Spring 2012 collection.

Justin Bieber personally thanked fans for his support, surprising a teen in the crowd with a hug.

Gaga and Beiber weren't the only ones feted. German rapper Bushido accepts his award.

German TV Presenter Thomas Gottschalk earned a trophy.

As did German actress Jeanette Hain.

American filmmaker Ric O'Barry received a golden statuette.
