Sean "Diddy" Combs is interviewed by 'Access Hollywood's' Shaun Robinson about the Golden Globe nomination for 'Raisin in the Sun,' directed by Atlanta's Kenny Leon. Combs was the star and executive producer of "Raisin,' nominated for Best Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television.

'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,' starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett, received five Golden Globes nods, including Best Drama and Best Actor, when the nominees were announced Thursday, Dec. 11. The awards will be handed out Jan. 11, 2009.

'Frost/Nixon,' starring Frank Langella and Michael Sheen, shared the noms lead with five nods as well, including Best Drama and Best Actor.

Other Best Drama nominees included 'Slumdog Millionaire' ...

... 'Revolutionary Road,' starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, who also received a Best Actor nod ...

... and 'The Reader.' Kate Winslet was nominated for Best Actress for 'Revolutionary Road' and for Best Supporting Actress for 'The Reader.'

Meryl Streep also received two nods: Best Dramatic Actress for 'Doubt' and Musical or Comedy Actress for 'Mamma Mia!.' 'Doubt' also scored supporting nominations for Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams and Viola Davis, plus a screenplay slot for director John Patrick Shanley.

Angelina Jolie was nominated for Best Actress in a Drama for 'Changeling.'

Anne Hathaway, left, was nominated for Best Actress in 'Rachel Getting Married.'

While Heath Ledger was posthumously honored with a Best Supporting Actor nod, 'Dark Knight' was shut out of all other categories.

Sean Penn was nominated for Best Actor in a Drama for his work in 'Milk.'

1. "The Wrestler" -- It couldn't have had a more cliched premise: A washed-up athlete struggles against the odds for one last chance at greatness. But Darren Aronofsky reinvents this well-worn genre, and in the process, allows Mickey Rourke to reinvent himself with disarming charisma and unexpected vulnerability. He gives the performance of his long and infamous career in a stripped-down film that's brutally honest yet funny, touching and even sweet.

'Mamma Mia!,' starring Meryl Streep, is another Best Comedy/Musical nominee.

Colin Farrell, left, and Brendan Gleeson were both nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy/Musical film for their work in 'In Bruges,' which was also nominated for Best Comedy/Musical.

The Cohen brothers' 'Burn After Reading,' starring Brad Pitt, was nominated for Best Comedy or Musical.

Hispanics also made progress with acting Oscars with three, including one for Latina Penelope Cruz for "Vicky Cristina Barcelona."

Robert Downey Jr., right, was nominated for best supporting actor for his role in 'Tropic Thunder,' along with Tom Cruise.

Moving from the big screen to the small screen, '30 Rock' received three nods: Best TV Comedy/Musical, Best Actress for Tina Fey and Best Actor for Alec Baldwin.

HBO continued its successful run, garnering 22 nods, including five each for the psychotherapy series 'In Treatment,' starring Gabriel Byrne (pictured) and the movie dramatization of the 2000 election aftermath 'Recount.'

Marietta's own Alan Ball contributed to HBO's count as well, with his new series, 'True Blood' getting a nod for Best TV Drama.

Fox's 'House,' starring Hugh Laurie, was the only broadcast nominee for Best TV Drama.

Lead acting nominations for drama series included Michael C. Hall in "Dexter."

... critics' darling 'Mad Men.' Jon Hamm and January Jones also received Best Actor and Best Actress nods for the AMC series.
