Roswell home with a resort feel

It's easy to staycation at this Roswell home

This neutral sofa was the first piece selected for the living room. It was able to absorb and blend in with the vibrant colored side chairs and continuous additions as the room evolved. Live plants and seashells accent the tables. A wooden chest does double duty as a coffee table and extra storage.

"We are both avid travelers and our home reflects some of the cultures and experiences that resonate with us," said Maloney.

The reclaimed teak farm table under the covered pergola sits next to an outdoor fireplace and Evelyn's potted herb garden. It also functions as the main dining area during the warmer months. Evelyn grows year round seasonal organic vegetables in the backyard which she uses for the family and shares with her neighbors.

He Frontage wicker lounge chairs overlook the custom pool with large hot tub, waterfalls, swimjets for open water swimming and a lounging ledge.

The resort-style backyard incorporates natural colored stucco, a metal pergola with addition of fabric and custom handmade lightning with a backyard organic vegetable garden.

On the shelves are vintage cameras, binoculars and a 50s Hunter fan that Evelyn has collected over the years.

On the desk is a Vietnamese porcelain planter with orchids and a 1935 Hermes rocket portable typewriter.

The desk and shelves in the office were custom built using reclaimed wood. The vintage-style chandelier was custom built as well. The chairs are vintage from the 50s.

Maloney and Paul describe their interior design style as "a mix of contemporary touches with international inspiration."

The chandelier is a unique piece that was selected for the master bedroom by interior designer Jaime Kern.

The kitchen has all the modern amenities for a working private chef coupled with Evelyn's collection of antique and vintage cooking tools, including a 19th century French grocery scale, 1920s butter churn and a working 1950s Hamilton Beach milkshake maker. The stainless steel stools were purchased from the Bilthouse in Serenbe and are made to order by a local furniture designer.

Family photos are prominently displayed in the study. "We wanted the family room to feel like a family room, so we felt that most of the family photos should be displayed in that room," Maloney said. "There is a large collection of new and antique books as well in this room and it has the feel of a small library. The round items on the wall are vintage industrial casting forms."
