Built in 2006, Jeffrey Bulvin purchased this four-bedroom, five full-bathroom and two half-bath home in Vinings in 2010. The Mediterranean home features a tile roof and an abundance of windows.

Like an Italian villa, Jeffrey Bulvin's Mediterranean-style home employs the use of a large balcony to integrate the indoor environment with nature outside.

When Jeffrey Bulvin moved into his 7,100-square-foot Mediterranean-style home in Vinings, he brought a "modern Old World" style to the space. In the living room, the wall color complements both the rich, Italianate fireplace and the modern furniture from Roche Bobois.

Abstract art hangs above the Italianate fireplace in Jeffrey Bulvin's Vinings living room. Bulvin collects abstract canvas oil paintings from the late Traudis Kennedy. When they were younger, Bulvin's two daughters tried their hands -- or rather fingers -- at painting similar artwork. Their proud father framed them in high-end frames and displays them on the walls as well.

Evidence that a serious wine connoisseur lives here can be found in just about every room. In decorating his home in Vinings, Jeffrey Bulvin was inspired by the time he spent in Napa's winemaking area.

The basement was unfinished when Jeffrey Bulvin bought his Vinings home in 2010. Bulvin used that blank canvas to create a high-end entertainment space, where his family spends much of their time during the winter months.

Jeffrey Bulvin's basement is not your average basement. While his daughters have plenty of room to hang out with their friends on one side, much of the space is dedicated to Bulvin's passion -- wine. The kitchen often functions as a tasting area for the 1,500-bottle wine cellar, and backlit onyx creates a soft glow in the bar area.

Homeowner Jeffrey Bulvin is a wine collector, who has spent a lot of time in California's Napa Valley, particularly in Calistoga and St. Helena. When he finished his Vinings basement, Bulvin decided to create a "wine cave." His 1,500-bottle wine room sits on display and within easy reach behind a wall of glass.

Rich stained cabinets and shelves hold Jeffrey Bulvin's massive wine collection. The spacious wine cellar in his Vinings basement can double as a tasting room when Bulvin entertains.

Multiple sets of French doors open to several entertaining spaces on the back patio, including this covered outdoor room with comfortable seating and a spectacular view.

With the pool a focal point, homeowner Jeffrey Bulvin decided to splurge on high-end white tiles instead of concrete for the patio. The chaise lounges and side table are among the modern decor elements.

At one end of Jeffrey Bulvin's private backyard is a large stucco fireplace and chimney he added after moving into the home in 2010. His entire home centers on the backyard pool and entertainment space.

The pool deck stretches to the back of the home. Rather than using the typical concrete, homeowner Jeffrey Bulvin splurged and constructed the back patio with high-end white tile. The tile keeps feet cool in the summer, he said.

A covered outdoor dining area gives Jeffrey Bulvin another place to entertain friends and family. The backyard offers the family complete privacy, despite the fact that the home is within walking distance to downtown Vinings and just below the ridge where the Vinings train runs.

The retaining wall and little else was present in the backyard when Jeffrey Bulvin moved in. The biggest challenge, he says, was there was such a big area to plant. "We had to grow ivy over the wall and put in all the roses," he says. "We tried to structure it so that at any point in the year, there was color."
