The bunk room in this beach-front condominium in Destin, Fla., was designed and built for a Louisiana family's two growing children. The double, twin-over-full bunk beds were painted white. For storage, drawers were built into the space below the mattress. The "storage steps" also provide space for games, flip flops, clothes and linens. But these beds aren't just for sleeping. Having long, narrow boxed pillows on the back and sides helps create a lounge atmosphere, much like a daybed. The space was designed by Cara McBroom and Joey LaSalle.
