People worldwide are expressing their appreciation for health care workers during the coronavirus pandemic.
An Atlanta high school student, for example, has set up a nonprofit to make sure doctors and nurses are fed. Midtown residents cheer workers on during shift changes.

And businesses are donating coffee and food, among other things.
Now, Crocs is giving shoes.
A popular choice of footwear by health care workers, Crocs says it will give up to 10,000 pairs of shoes each day on a first come, first served basis.
“Over the past week, we have spoken to health-care workers, their facilities and even their family and friends, and they have specifically asked for our shoes in an effort to provide ease on their feet, as well as ease of mind as they need the ability to easily clean up before they go home to their families,” Crocs president and CEO Andrew Rees said in a statement. “These workers have our deepest respect, and we are humbled to be able to answer their call and provide whatever we can to help during this unprecedented time.”

The initiative, called "A Free Pair for Healthcare," is on Crocs.com. Response has been "extremely high," with available pairs going quickly each day.
"Due to extremely high volume, we have met our daily free pair limit. Please check back at 12 p.m. ET every day to get in line for your free pair," Crocs' website reads.
Crocs also said it has committed to donating up to 100,000 pairs of its shoes to select health care facilities and organizations.
Crocs is not alone in offering help, footwearnews.com reports. Keen is giving away 100,000 pairs, valued at $10 million; Allbirds has donated $500,000 in shoes since last week; and Merrell has delivered 1,200 pairs of shoes and boots to Michigan-based workers.
