Fans of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta were treated to a new cast member last week during the first episode of Season 5.

Tiarra "Tia" Becca is the mother of a son with cast member Scrapp DeLeon. Scrapp is dating cast member Tommie. Confused? Me too.

Anyway, Becca is wasting no time in making her mark. Just as she made her debut on the show, she offered up some family photos of her and her four children on various social media accounts.

The photo received 20K likes and a few questions about exactly what Becca was trying to achieve by wearing lingerie in a family photo with her children.

Another image -- available on her personal website -- prompted questions about the cultural significance given the nod to the Black Panthers (or Beyoncé?) The photo shows the family of five in the same gear with raised fists.

Both pix made the rounds on Facebook and Instagram and while many applauded the images as a show of strength, others questioned the wisdom of the kids posing with mom in her unmentionables. Her critics suggested she put on some clothes and try again.

Becca seemed to not give a hip-hop about what folks are saying responding to some on Twitter as follows:

To be fair, Becca did have some more "traditional" family photos to offer.

Anyone who wants to know more about Becca and maybe get some insight into why she opted to shoot these particular family photos doesn't have to wait long.

She is releasing a memoir on April 22. "Love and War: A Story of Tragedy and Triumph" promises to tell readers about Becca's tumultuous upbringing on the "rough streets of Dayton, Ohio."
