Looking for a way to de-stress for less?
Take advantage of a free yoga series held weekly or monthly, in and around the metro area.
Most of the events take advantage of the warmer weather by holding outdoor classes through the summer months.
All of the following events are free, open to the public and require that you bring your own yoga mat:
Wellness Wednesdays at Atlantic Station, 1380 Atlantic Dr NW (event in Central Park)
Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., now through Sept. 27.
Athleta Atlantic Station and Evolation Yoga team up with Atlantic Station for a weekly yoga class in Central Park. The hour-long class features relaxing stretches and more.
AvalOM at Avalon , Avalon,2200 Avalon Blvd., Alpharetta
Wednesdays at 6 p.m., now through Oct. 25
A free hour-long wellness class in The Plaza includes yoga and barre led by instructors from Flywheel Sports, lululemon, Athleta and more.
Yoga on the Square at Colony Square, 1197 West Peachtree Road, NW, Atlanta
Wednesday at 6 p.m., now through Oct. 27
Hit the Plaza for classes at Colony Square in Midtown in conjunction with exhale Spa (Midtown), CorePower Yoga (Midtown) and Dancing Dogs Yoga Atlanta. Get a #yogaonthesquare loyalty card and when you attend four Yoga On The Square sessions and you'll get a swag like water bottles and sweat bands in return for your participation. In the event of rain, classes will move inside to The Atrium.
Monthly on June 1, July 10, Aug. 7 and Oct. 2 from 6 - 7 p.m.
Amber Barry of Westside Yoga, which recently moved to anew location at 857 Collier Road, hosts an hour-long, mind-clearing class at Park Tavern by the big oak tree. If it rains, the event moves to a covered area.
First Tuesday of the month (June 2, July 11 and Aug. 1) from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Carly Grace from Thunderbolt Power Yoga will preside over the poolside yoga series which also features beverages from BAI. Towels and water are provided. Spots are limited and must be reserved online at www.watlantabuckhead.com/yoga . Class is free, valet parking costs $6.
