Derek Watkins, the native Atlantan also known as Fonzworth Bentley -- personal assistant/ valet of P. Diddy in the early aughts -- offered up an Oprah-esque stream of advice to his Twitter followers Monday evening.

In a series of Tweets he called his #MasterKeys, Watkins listed 21 of the life lessons which apparently helped him find his way in the entertainment industry and beyond.

Here are a few of his tips ( check his feed for the rest ):

The 21 tweets marked the conclusion of a live Q & A during which Watkins invited the public to ask him (via Twitter) any questions about the industry.

Watkins as Bentley was the parasol toting dandy who appeared strolling alongside P. Diddy in St. Tropez circa 2001, shielding the hip-hop impresario from the sun.

He would go on to fashion a career out of being fashionable and is credited -- along with fellow Atlantan and former classmate Andre Benjamin (Andre 3000) -- with bringing a class over crass mentality to hip-hop.

Watkins' path has included acting and production work in film and television such as the 2008 MTV reality show "G's to Gents" created by Jamie Foxx and hosted by his Watkins as his Bentley alter-ego.

More recently, Watkins has appeared with Kanye West, as a song producer on the "Life of Pablo" and snapchatting from behind the scenes of West's latest project "Cruel Winter" -- a new collaborative album from G.O.O.D. Music (West's record label) featuring artists such as Big Sean and Pusha T.
