Tyler Perry Studios donated hundreds of gourmet meals to Grady Hospital workers Monday in honor of National Hospital Week.

According to a press release from Grady, Atlanta-based celebrity chef and Grady baby Elliott Farmer and his staff cooked the meals, planned weeks in advance by the Tyler Perry Studios team.

"We are absolutely astounded by the generosity and kindness of the Tyler Perry Studios staff. To do something this special for our caregivers and support staff makes this year's hospital week celebration extraordinary," said Lindsay Caulfield, Grady's Chief Experience Officer. "These meals will help remind Team Grady that they are loved and appreciated, and that we're all in this together."

Grady, like all hospitals in the region, has been handling an influx of patients battling COVID-19.

This donation was not from Tyler Perry himself but his studio operation. Recent publicized donations to Houston's servers and to Kroger senior shoppers came out of the pocket of the media mogul himself.
