TMZ reported Sunday that Atlanta film and TV mogul Tyler Perry donated $21,000 to 42 out-of-work servers at one of his favorite eateries Houston's.

That’s $500 for each employee.

According to the story, he is a regular at the Houston's on Northside Parkway near OK Cafe and has been doing pick-ups there since the dine-in option is not an option during this pandemic.

His generosity is well documented. Last year, he provided money to the family of a murdered Alpharetta woman Tynesha Evans so they could stay in their apartment and provide tuition to her daughter.

Last September, he flew his private plane to deliver supplies to the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian.

Perry also has his own charity foundation, in which he donates to a variety of non-profit organizations to help the homeless, support civil rights causes, provide services to survivors of natural disasters and other missions. According to its most recent federal 990 form available on GuideStar, the foundation distributed $611,244 to charities in 2017.
