It's the final day of the 2017 Georgia Legislature and there's nothing like a little drama.
Bills still in the balance include expanding medical marijuana, changing how campus sexual assault is prosecuted, protecting water supplies from fracking and a whole host of tax bills.
Oh, and there's still a question whether a compromise can be reached on allowing guns into the state's public colleges and universities and over the first update of the state's adoption code in a generation -- without being hijacked by other interests.
Sine Die, Latin for “without a day,” is the phrase of the day and night. It's what both Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle and House Speaker David Ralston will declare as work ends around midnight - an enduring tradition that will call to a close yet another legislation session.
