A video circulating on Facebook is singling out state Sen. Mike Crane, R-Newnan, in the crowded race to replace the retiring Lynn Westmoreland in Congress' Third District. The message: "Mike Crane is not a friend of law enforcement."
Randy Robertson, vice president of the Georgia Fraternal Order of Police, shared this two-and-a-half-minute video earlier this week. It includes snippets of a speech Crane gave on Feb. 13, two days after a Riverdale officer was killed, the video points out, with the message that supporters of law enforcement should think twice before casting a vote for Crane.
“I am not sure that blue lives matter to everyone. Law enforcement officers and their families should vote wisely in May,” Robertson said in a note accompanying the post.

The Crane campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Crane is one of seven Republicans vying for Westmoreland’s seat in the conservative third district’s primary. He’s made clear that he’s running on the party’s right flank.
"The message is we're tired of vending-machine politics," Crane said when he announced his bid for the congressional seat in January. "You push a button, you get what you want. That ends soon."
