Senators Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio arrive in the Atlanta metro area on Saturday with the same missions: coming in second in Tuesday’s Georgia primary and chipping away at Donald Trump’s substantial lead.

The most recent polls show Trump with a sizable lead over Rubio and Cruz across virtually every demographic. Second place, however, is no small prize given the 76 GOP delegates at stake Tuesday.

Cruz is rallying with his supporters at 11 a.m. at Liberty Plaza, the park across the street from the Georgia Capitol. He'll be introduced by one of his most prominent Georgia supporters, former Rep. Jack Kingston.

A few hours later, Rubio will take the stage at Mount Paran Christian School in Kennesaw. His campaign announced last night that due to high demand they've moved the event from the school's gym to its football stadium.

Rubio also plans to return to Atlanta on Monday in a last-ditch effort to get supporters to the polls before the SEC primary. He’ll rally at the Intercontinental Buckhead at 12:30 p.m. with Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson. His surrogates, Sen. Tim Scott and Phil Gramm, will also be at events in Athens, Alpharetta, Savannah and Augusta on Sunday and Monday.

Rubio, who’s been rolling out a growing list of endorsements over the last several weeks, is hoping that his strong debate performance against Trump on Thursday will translate to a solid showing across the SEC states. Cruz, on the other hand, is banking that his southern firewall of evangelical voters keeps him competitive.

Either way, strong performances in week’s contests with be critical for both men as they look to block Trump from running away with the GOP nomination.
