U.S. Rep. Paul Broun has decided the time has come for him to corner the Second Amendment market in the GOP race for U.S. Senate. He’s giving away an AR-15, the semi-automatic version of the U.S. military’s M16:

From the email he just sent to supporters:

Today, stand up with me and fight for our freedoms by joining our campaign's contest to win a semi-automatic AR-15….

The contest ends on Thursday, February 27th, 2014.

In other "Coming soon to MSNBC" news, Buzzfeed got hold of a tracker video of Broun at a University of Georgia College Republicans event on Wednesday talking about airport screenings.

Broun, in a story he has told before, impugns the Transportation Security Administration's screening practices by talking about a time he saw an elderly lady and a child searched, but a man in "Middle Eastern" dress "went right through."
