Gov. Nathan Deal will join other state leaders on Wednesday for a MARTA excursion.

The governor, along with the heads of MARTA, the State Road and Tollway Authority and the Department of Transportation commissioner, will depart from the Georgia State station at 10:15 a.m.

Their destination was not disclosed but the foursome will also provide updates on commuting options while I-85 remains closed for repairs. The state announced Tuesday the key interstate should reopen in June.

Asked if this would be the governor's first MARTA train ride, a Deal spokeswoman replied, "Of course not."

Just in case he needs a refresher, however, here are some tips for MARTA newbies.
