All right, maybe Michelle Nunn has former NBA great Dikembe Mutombo on her side. Chump change.

We know for a fact that Republican Senate hopeful David Perdue has allied himself with the great Donald Trump. “The Donald,” who flirted with a presidential bid in 2012, has recorded a robocall for the former Fortune 500 CEO.

Look for one of the most distinctive voices in American politics to be set loose to stir the Republican faithful at any moment. No, Trump isn’t coming here in person before Tuesday. But it’s a possibility if this thing goes to a runoff.

We don't have the content of the Trump robocall, but we do have the audio for the robocall message from Shaun McCutcheon's Conservative Action Fund, which includes Bach's spooky Toccata and Fugue in D Minor as background noise:

The gist:

"Michelle Nunn has followed Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi around like a mindless zombie, to fundraisers across the country. But when it comes to campaigning with them in Georgia, she acts like it's a bullet to the brain. Michelle Nunn wants to spread death and disease by opposing a travel ban from west Africa that would keep the deadly Ebola virus out of the United States."

The robocall closes, oddly, with the voice of a blood-sucking Dracula urging recipients to vote for David Perdue. As endorsements go, between a vampire and Trump,, we’d stick with The Donald.
