Did Kasim Reed just make a pick in the 2017 race for mayor of Atlanta?

Now, it could be argued that this isn't an endorsement per se, but the following invitation was just broadcast over Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed's email list:

The Jan. 26 event for the Atlanta city councilwoman, incidentally, comes one day after the Buckhead Coalition hosts an introduction of eight current and potential mayoral candidates.

Only last week, former Gov. Roy Barnes publicly put his weight behind state Sen. Vincent Fort, D-Atlanta, in the same contest.
