Starting his final full day of campaign stops, Donald Trump came to a middle school in this city on the banks of the Missouri River and urged voters to send a message that will be heard not only in Iowa but across the nation on Monday night.
"I backed McCain, it didn't work. I backed Romney, it didn't work," Trump said.
"This time, I said, let's do it ourselves and get it done," Trump said to cheers.
"I'm gonna win, I'm gonna win," he added triumphantly at one point.

While Trump was a Gerald W. Kirn Middle School in Council Bluffs - less than two miles away at Abraham Lincoln High School was Hillary Clinton; he made sure to take a jab at her.
"The one person she does not want to run against is Trump," he said.
Trump was joined on the campaign trail by Jerry Falwell, Jr., the head of Liberty University - a clear message to religious Republican voters that Trump is a safe choice.
And as he did in a recent speech at Liberty, Trump did not hold back, even with Falwell sitting by his side on stage.
"I'm telling you, we are going to do a hell of a job; we are going to make America great again," Trump said.

The rally began with Trump's Iowa state director urging supporters to make sure they get out and caucus on Monday night - that wasn't lost on one woman I spoke to.
"I guess we’re tired of the crap," said Shannon Barton, who says she will definitely caucus for Trump.
"There’s so much political nonsense. And Trump’s an action taker," she added.
